entertain! Throughout the seasons, we will offer a variety of hands-on workshops and

Working With Draft Horses
From November 15, 2010 on. Please

Adults, ages 18+ $120.00 per session
Bring your work boots and gloves! These
workshops will be led by John Hutton, owner
of Coppal House Farm. John has been
farming and working with horses for over 30
years. Each workshop session will begin with
an introduction to the horses at Coppal
House Farm and a discussion about working
safely with draft horses. You will learn about
their care, feed, equipment and what is
required to keep a draft horse healthy and
happy. Participants will learn to identify the
parts of a harness and how to harness a
horse. You will then be taken out to the field
for a quick demonstration and then begin
working with the draft horses using old and
modern horse-drawn equipment.

Each draft horse workshop session is approximately 3 hours. Advanced reservations
