2019-2020 Sleighs & Spirits

Visit two Lee NH businesses for one great event!  Let the sleigh bells and muffled hoof beats transport you to a bygone era as our horses glide down groomed trails of snow.  Upon your return to the farm warm yourself by the bonfire with a cup of cocoa.  Receive a gift for visiting the farm before driving just a mile down the road to Flag Hill Distillery & Winery.  Start in the tasting room where you will be greeted by friendly staff who will  take you on a special tour through the Rickhouse where the barrels of spirits are aged.  Back in the tasting room enjoy light snacks while you sample award winning spirits & wine!

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy

If we determine the weather to be unsuitable for sleigh riding we will move the event to the planned rain date.

What we consider unsuitable for sleigh riding:
1.  Wind chill below 15 degrees
2.  Driving winter rain
3.  A Nor'easter

We do not consider snow or drizzle unsuitable. If snow is in the forecast or there is a light drizzle with above 30 degree temperatures, the ride will go off as planned.

All events will have a rain/bad weather date that accompanies them. We will make a decision as early as possible based on anticipated weather conditions, with enough time to alert everyone of any change. In the event that a ride needs to be rescheduled, everyone with a reservation will receive a phone call, and the change will be posted on our website and Facebook page.  Those with original reservations will be asked if they would like to keep the reservation for the new date or decline at no charge to the guests.

Guests may cancel their reservations more than 5 days prior to any event and will receive a full refund. Any guest that cancels their reservation within 5 days of any event will not receive a refund unless their spot can be filled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I going to be riding in a sleigh or a wagon?

Sleighs require a base of 6 inches of packed snow.  We are constantly evaluating our trail conditions.  If there is any way we can get you in a sleigh, that is always our first option.  If conditions are not right for a sleigh, we will substitute a wagon.

Should I tip my driver?

Sleigh Rides are considered a service, however, tips are always appreciated but never expected.

What time does my Sleigh Ride start?

When making a sleigh ride reservation please remember that the time you book is the time your ride leaves.  Always arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time to check in to ensure a timely departure.  If you arrive after your scheduled time you will not be able to participate in the event unless space allows.

Do I have to pay when I make the reservation?

All Sleighs & Spirit sleigh rides must be paid in full at the time the reservation is taken.  Payment is taken through an emailed credit card link.

What should I wear?

While we provide blankets and have the wood stove going in the yurt, this is an outdoor activity, so please check the weather and dress appropriately.  Hats, scarves, and mittens are always encouraged.  Make sure to bring snow pants for the kids, there is plenty of room to play in the snow.

How long should I plan on being at the farm?

All Sleighs & Spirits sleigh rides are 30 minutes long.  You should plan on being at Coppal House Farm for about an hour to check in prior to your ride and enjoy the bonfire after your ride.  The tour of the rick house and tasting at Flag Hill can take 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on how long you wish to stay.
