PRIVATE SLEIGH RIDES
Enjoy an old-fashioned sleigh ride on a sleigh all your own. Our sleighs can accommodate 2 to 14 people. Not to worry if you have more than 14 people. We can always send out more than one sleigh at once, or split a longer ride into multiple shorter ones. After your ride, get cozy by the woodstove in the yurt with a complimentary cup of cocoa, or add a bonfire to the end of your ride.
Any Thursday through Sunday starting December 14th until February 28th/29th (Exceptions made around the Christmas & New Year's holidays)
First ride starts at 1 pm - Last ride starts at 7 pm
The time the you book your sleigh ride is the time that the ride starts. You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time to ensure a timely departure. If you arrive late, your ride will still end at the time that was scheduled.
* PLEASE NOTE: Sleigh Rides depend on a good snow base. If there is not enough snow, a Wagon will be substituted, the ride will not be cancelled.
Determining the size sleigh your group requires
We base all of our seating on the average adult. The numbers listed in our pricing are the maximum number of adults each sleigh will hold. We consider children under the age of 3 yrs to be "lap children" and would not take up a seat on the sleigh. Children ages 3 and older would receive a seat.
What you need to bring...
Yourselves! We provide all the blankets you need to keep you toasty while you are on your ride. We also offer a cup of cocoa, cider, or tea when you return.
You are welcome to bring any snacks you would like to enjoy while you are on your ride or warming up by the bonfire. (Be sure to bring sticks if you bring marshmallows!)

We do not consider snow unsuitable. If snow is in the forecast, the ride will go off as planned.
Frequently Asked Questions
Am I going to be riding in a sleigh or a wagon?
Sleighs require a base of 6 inches of packed snow. We pack all of our trails with an old-fashioned snow roller, which provide an easier pull for the horses, and also holds the snow on the trails longer in warmer weather. We are constantly evaluating our trail conditions. If there is any way we can get you in a sleigh, that is always our first option. If conditions are not right for a sleigh, we will substitute a wagon.
Should I tip my driver?
Sleigh Rides are considered a service, however, tips are always appreciated but never expected.
What time does my Sleigh Ride start?
When making a sleigh ride reservation please remember that the time you book is the time the ride leaves. Always arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time to check in to ensure a timely departure. We do not want to have to instate a tardiness policy.
Do I have to pay when I make the reservation?
A deposit of $50 is taken when making a private sleigh ride reservation. The balance is then paid when you arrive for your ride. All Special Event rides must be paid in full at the time the reservation is taken.
What should I wear?
While we provide blankets and have the woodstove going in the yurt, this is an outdoor activity, so please check the weather and dress appropriately. Hats, scarves, and mittens are always encouraged. Make sure to bring snow pants for the kids, there is plenty of room to play in the snow.
How long should I plan on being at the farm?
Depending on the length of your ride, you should plan on being on the farm for 1-2 hours.
