Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy

If we determine the weather to be unsuitable for sleigh riding, a weather alert will be posted on our website home page, the sleigh ride reservation page, and notification to your reservation email address by 5 pm the day prior to the event.  Please do not call the farm to check on your reservation.  If you have not received an email and no weather notice has been posted on the website, then the event will go off as planned.

If a weather notice gets posted to cancel an event, you will be responsible for calling the farm to reschedule to another available date.  If rescheduling is not possible, you can opt to receive farm credit in the form of a gift certificate that will be mailed to you.  Refunds are not an option.

Reserved dates and times may not be changed and farm credit will not be given unless a weather notice has been activated.

What we consider bad weather...

Temperatures, wind, rain, snow, hazardous driving conditions & safety of our guests, staff and animals.  Other factors to consider are situations that may affect operations at the farm caused by weather.

Please understand we do our very best to provide you the services you have requested.  We work with people, animals and the environment.  On occasion circumstances (especially relating to weather) may arise and are simply out of our control.  By making a reservation, you are opting to participate in an outdoor event and will need to plan accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I going to be riding in a sleigh or a wagon?

Sleighs require a base of 6 inches of packed snow.  We are constantly evaluating our trail conditions.  If there is any way we can get you in a sleigh, that is always our first option.  If conditions are not right for a sleigh, we will substitute a wagon.

Should I tip my driver?

Sleigh Rides are considered a service, however, tips are always appreciated but never expected.

What time does my Sleigh Ride start?

When making a sleigh ride reservation please remember that the time you book is the time your ride leaves.  Always arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time to check in to ensure a timely departure.  If you arrive after your scheduled time you will not be able to participate in the event unless space allows.

Do I have to pay when I make the reservation?

All Public Sleigh Rides must be paid in full at the time the reservation is taken.  Payment is taken through an emailed credit card link.

What should I wear?

While we provide blankets and have the wood stove going in the yurt, this is an outdoor activity, so please check the weather and dress appropriately.  Hats, scarves, and mittens are always encouraged.  Make sure to bring snow pants for the kids, there is plenty of room to play in the snow.

How long should I plan on being at the farm?

All Public Sleigh Rides are 30 minutes long.  You should plan on being on the farm for about an hour or so to check in prior to your ride and enjoy the bonfire after your ride.
